National Collegiate Choral Organization National Conference Concert

The College of Charleston Concert Choir, The Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and the Taylor Festival Choir will join forces with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra to present a seventy-minute choral program on November 2, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Sotille Theatre. The program will feature Ralph Vaughan Williams’ masterpieces Dona Nobis Pacem and Serenade to Music. The concert will be conducted by Dr. Robert Taylor.
Tickets will be available at the door for $20.

This concert is the feature choral/orchestral concert in the 2013 National Collegiate Choral Organization National Conference, a bi-annual choral gathering being hosted at the College of Charleston. This convention is the largest gathering of collegiate choirs and choral conductors in the United States. It features twelve of the nation’s finest collegiate choirs, chosen to perform at this convention via competitive audition. Featured clinicians include Dr. Joe Flummerfelt, well-known in Charleston for his work with the Spoleto Festival and Westminster Choir College.
